Dear Fellow Alumni:
As Chairmen of the Class of 1958
Kelvyn Park High School - 50th Reunion Committee, we'd
like to thank each and every one of you who attended our
50th Reunion Celebration and made it the huge success it
was. The Committee worked tirelessly to make this a fun
and memorable event for everyone -- at it was! But, more
than planning - more than location - more than anything
it was the people there who made the magic happen. It's
practically impossible to put into words the genuine
outpouring of warmth, affection, and camaraderie we all
experienced. We felt it, and we know you did, too. It was
great to see everyone. There has been talk of an informal
annual "get together" maybe at Gino's Pizza or Russell's
BBQ or somewhere else. When the "when" and "where" has
been decided, we will be sure to let you know. We will
keep this web site up and running for so long as there is
an interest.
On behalf of the entire Reunion
Committee our very best wishes to each and
everyone!
Your KP friends, Richard Hussar, June
58, and Peter Castronova, January 58
In Memory
Sandy Majus Lorenz
On Monday, March 17, 2008 we lost a
good friend when Sandy Majus Lorenz passed away. Sandy
served on the KPHS June Class of 1958 - 10th and 25th
Reunion Committees, and the January/June Classes of 1958
- 50th Reunion Committee until she took ill and could no
longer serve. She fought a long and brave struggle with
cancer. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 48
years, Charlie Lorenz, two daughters and four
grandchildren.
Sandy remained friends with her Kelvyn
Park High School chums Milly Cutich, Roseanne Girardi,
and Judy Frank all these years. They were more than
friends -- they were as close as if they were sisters.
Sandy often said, "Milly and I will be best friends
forever!" Sandy will be missed. Even though she cannot be
with us at our 50th reunion she will be with us in spirit
and in our hearts.
