Dale left Chicago in 1967. He was an elementary school teacher for 5 years before attending Indiana University where he received his doctorate. He was on the faculty of the University of Houston for 18 years, and for the past 18 years he's been a member of the faculty at California State University in Long Beach, California. Dale has traveled extensively, and has taught in Europe and Japan. He has two sons living in Houston, Texas, and two beautiful grandchildren. Dale is still teaching, but he's giving some thought to retiring soon.
