Kenn and his wife Kris were married
September 22, 1967 at the Moody Church in Chicago. Kenn
earned his degrees in Chicago at the Moody Bible
Institute and the American Conservatory of Music in
piano/composition. He later completed a Masters Degree in
Choral Conducting at Michigan State University. Kenn
considers one of his greatest career accomplishments as
having served as minister of music in Brookfield,
Illinois, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lansing, Michigan (17
years), and Johnson City, Tennessee (12 years). But, his
greatest life accomplishment are Kenn and Kris' two
lovely daughters, and two wonderful grand daughters. For
recreation, Kenn likes to bowl, and is quite good at it.
And, Kenn and his wife like to travel. They have visited
their missionary daughter, Kim, in Russia, Budapest and
Croatia. Kenn graduated from Nixon Elementary School. He
didn't have a part in the KP senior play, but Kenn played
a piano solo at our senior breakfast. His favorite
teacher was Mr. Bock. He thought Mr. Bock was a tough old
bird, but funny in his own way. (Hmmm! Didn't I just read
that someone else thought Mr. Bock was his least favorite
teacher?) Kenn's least favorite teacher was Mrs.
Maccallini. He thought Mrs. Maccallini was kind of mean
and that she played favorites. (She did. I was one of her
favorites!) Kenn's closest Kelvyn friends were Leland
Hansen and Ronald Holzwarth, and he has fond memories of
their campus Bible study meetings.
