Carol married James Angelakos in 1961.
Together they had 3 sons. In 1993, Carol was widowed.
Carol didn't think she could find happiness again after
losing her husband, but she did if only for a short time.
She met and was engaged to be married to a wonderful man,
Dick Adamick. Unfortunately, Dick was tragically killed
in a motorcycle accident. Carol is blessed with seven
grandchildren, 5 grandsons and 2 grand daughters. Their
ages range from 4 years old to 15 years old, and she
enjoys babysitting for her grandchildren. Carol says,
"They love to stay at "Camp Mema" overnight. She loves to
travel, and has taken trips to Ireland, Hawaii and
Alaska. Carol said that she'd love to go back to Alaska
someday. Carol worked as a dental assistant/office
manager for a great dentist and friend. And, for many
years Carol lived part time in Tellico Village, Tennessee
where she enjoyed motorcycle rides, wood working, sewing,
reading and volunteering at Bible class. Carol graduated
from Mozart Elementary School with Theresa Malo Pauza and
Charlene Jezowitz Mroz. They have remained friends and
still keep in touch to this day. Carol was a gypsy dancer
in her senior class play. She liked Mr. Cady (I finally
found someone who liked Mr. Cady!) Carol said, "He was a
good teacher and a happy person." Miss Ekstrom was her
least favorite teacher. (Well, this one we agree on,
Carol!) Miss Ekstrom would scare Carol every time she
would blow "that" whistle. Carol concluded by saying,
"Funny what you remember." (Yeah! I think we can all
relate to that!)
