Marilyn Palmer (Hofstetter)

Marilyn and her husband Ken Hofstetter have been married for 43 years. They have lived in Aiken, South Carolina for 21 years. They have two children -- Eric and Kelli. Eric is married and he and his wife have given Marilyn and Ken a beautiful 8 month old baby grand daughter. Kelli owns a kennel for boarding dogs, cats, and horses. Both Eric and Kelli live in Aiken, too. Marilyn's fondest memories of her KP days are the football games, working on the yearbook and the Panther staff, and performing with the KP Chorus. She likes to play tennis, gardening, singing in the church choir, and needlework. Marilyn attended Lloyd Elementary School for 7 years, then she transferred to Barry and graduated from Barry. She played "Marge" in the January class play "Mother is a Freshman" Her favorite teacher was Mr. Polk for music and chorus, and Mrs. Nordman for Civics. Her least favorite teachers were Mr. Barr and Mrs. Gailes for math. (Join the club, Marilyn!) Both Marilyn and Ken have a BA from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois and Marilyn has a MS in Biology from Purdue in Lafayette, Indiana. Ken has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Purdue. To all her classmates and KP friends, Marilyn says, "See you soon!"
